The Orangery

The Orangery soap is inspired by our love of winter oranges! The popularity of orangeries on private estates during the Regency era made for such a convenient location to have a secret tryst or romantic stroll and waltz!
Jane Austen’s own family were great fans of oranges and bottled their own orange wine.
Scented with pure orange essential oil. Available in bar shape.
“The orange wine will want our care soon. But in the meantime, for elegance and ease and luxury, the Hattons and Milles’ dine here to-day, and I shall eat ice and drink French wine, and be above vulgar economy. Luckily the pleasures of friendship, of unreserved conversation, of similarity of taste and opinions, will make good amends for orange wine.” -Jane Austen to her sister Cassandra, June 30, 1808
