Sanditon

Jane Austen’s final novel, Sanditon, was left unfinished due to her untimely death. The few chapters written lay out a hilarious cast of characters and the story leaves you wanting so much more! Naturally, we were inspired to create a soap from it.
Ready to go seabathing? Our Sanditon bar soap is a gently exfoliating bar full of finely ground walnut shell–quite an invigorating experience! Scented with tea leaves and bergamot, it smells so breezy and fresh that you’ll soon be back for more.
Sanditon is part of our Austen Classics collection. The book itself is an unfinished work of eleven chapters, written 1817.
First line: “A gentleman and a lady travelling from Tunbridge towards that part of the Sussex coast which lies between Hastings and Eastbourne, being induced by business to quit the high road and attempt a very rough lane, were overturned in toiling up its long ascent, half rock, half sand.”
“Such a place as Sanditon…the finest, purest sea breeze on the coast—excellent bathing—fine hard sand—deep water ten yards from the shore.” ~ Sanditon, by Jane Austen
