Country Miss / unscented

COUNTRY MISS smells like old fashioned handmade soap with no added scent or colorant. It is sure to be gentle on skin for sensitive folks. It is inspired by Marianne Dashwood from Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility.
In the 1995 film adaptation of Sense and Sensibility (the version I’ve seen the most), when Miss Marianne Dashwood goes to London in hopes of reuniting with Willoughby, she causes a bit of a scene at a ball. One onlooker is overheard criticizing her “country fashions.” That line stuck in my mind and seemed wrong, for although her “country fashions” may not have been new and she wore a simple ribbon in her hair instead of jewels, I always thought her wholesome beauty was breathtaking. So much so that I designed my shop icon with her in mind.

COUNTRY MISS has the wholesome beauty of a simple handmade soap. Uncolored, unscented, nut oil free, and pure (except for a little dill weed). Handmade soap is already quite gentle, so this unscented soap is for the extra sensitive crowd out there.
